Franz Ferdinand

Another from the list - Franz Ferdinand.

I've liked these guys for a long time. They, along with The Feeling, were my favourite band before The Hoosiers came along. It's funny how people go through phases. There was a time where I would not stop listening to 'Take Me Out' by Franz Ferdinand - one of the only two songs I knew by them. And then I fell into my huge Hoosier phase, then into my Muse phase, which I'm still very much in!

Anyway, Franz Ferdinand. Why do I like them? Their songs are so catchy! They give me nearly everything I could want from a song - a catchy beat, guitars, indie/alternative melodies and four alright-looking guys. I love pretty much every song on all their albums because they're fun. Even if they don't make sense.

Franz Ferdinand - 'Tell Her Tonight' from their debut, self-titled album, 'Franz Ferdinand'.

Franz Ferdinand - 'This Boy' from their second album, 'You Could Have It So Much Better'.

Franz Ferdinand - 'Lucid Dreams' from the third album, 'Tonight:Franz Ferdinand'.

So, yeah, I think they're wonderful! And, it's a shame, as I could have seen them in 2009, but I didn't get a chance to book tickets. From what I've seen on coverage of their sets on Glastonbury and the like, they're pretty amazing live. But, they're on my list - I wouldn't mind seeing them, I just don't know who would go with me - most of my friends are into heavier stuff.

That's all for Franz Ferdinand for now.

:)
